Home-Style Meatloaf
Ingredients:
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup milk
1 cup Progresso™ Italian Style Bread Crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 lb. lean ground beef
Topping:
1/4 cup ketchup
Directions:
1 Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine all meat loaf ingredients; mix well. Press mixture in ungreased 8x4-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350°F. for 40 minutes.
2 Remove meat loaf from oven. Spread 1/4 cup ketchup evenly over top. Return to oven; bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until meat thermometer reaches 160°F. and beef is thoroughly cooked.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Hot Southern Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients:
2 c. Durkee Red Hot sauce
2 c. tomato puree
2 c. water
1 tbsp. crushed red pepper
2 c. sugar
1 celery stalk, chopped fine
1 green pepper, chopped fine
1/2 onion, chopped fine
Juice of 2 lg. lemons
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in large saucepan, bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.

Deep Southern Hot Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/3 cup minced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth or bouillon
1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
1 can (6 ounce size) tomato paste
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions:
In a medium pan, heat oil over medium high heat. Add onion and garlic; saute for 4 minutes or until golden.
Remove from heat, then add the remaining ingredients. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
NOTE: Use as a basting sauce for chicken, pork, fish or beef.
